The Opioid Manager is designed to be a point-of-care tool which distils onto an essential handout containing information and advice from the New Canadian Guideline for Safe and Effective Use of Opioids for Chronic Non-cancer Pain. If it realizes its potential it will be used routinely by health care providers who find it a practical tool to guide and track the initiation and monitoring of opioid therapy for chronic non-cancer pain patients. While the Opioid Manager has been tested during its development, we invite interested practitioners to try this tool and provide feedback and suggestions for improvement.
